Recently the “Handelsblatt” published an article on the topic of personal protection and “the business of fear”, also mentioning RH Security.

…“One of the few exceptions is the company RH Security GmbH based in Neustadt/Wied. CEO Ivo Schendel, 42, offers armed personal protection nationwide – explicitly also for private individuals. Schendel is a former police commissioner and served for ten years in a special unit of the state police in North Rhine-Westphalia. He resigned in 2016, making his move to private enterprise.
His predecessor at RH was a former bodyguard of Helmut Kohl. The company has eleven employees, and the CEO himself is part of a security team on a two-week cycle. “We are part of day-to-day family life,” he says about his clients.
According to Schendel, tailor-made security concepts are the key. One family for instance is protected in shifts around the clock. A dog handler comes during the night. With another family, the bodyguards sleep in a nearby residence. The alarm system is linked directly to the men’s mobile phone: “If anything happens, we are on site quickly.”
Schendel specifically recruits former police officers for his staff. Many bodyguards also come from the Federal Armed Forces or anti-terrorist units such as GSG 9. The security industry is one of trust and comradeship. People know each other from their joint police or military service. That provides a crucial advantage for corporate clients: Unofficial channels to public authorities are often available.” …
