Gemstones, jewelry and diamonds have always enjoyed a great attraction, even for thieves.
Our assignment at the gemstone fair therefore included the protection of valuables as well as ensuring the security of exhibitors and trade visitors for the duration of the event together with DEFEN.S.I.S.
The implemented concept of security intelligence with civilian forces and clearly recognizable armed forces on all days of the event had full success and there were no incidents in the area of event security.
As part of the protection concept, which had been cleared in advance with the authorities and the police, armed event guards had already been deployed for this trade fair in recent years, but there was an increased need for protection due to a recent incident in June 2022.
The reason was the attack on a similar event on June 28, 2022, in Maastricht / Netherlands. In this case, armed criminals entered the event premises and committed an assault with brute force and by displaying weapon-like objects.
